Question by James: Just burned a CD with mp3 files via Windows Media Player, but won’t play on CD player?
Hey there,
I just made a list of a few songs (all mp3 format) and burned them to a blank disk via Windows Media Player. Put the disk in the CD player downstairs so I have something to listen to while I shower, and the CD players says theres 0 songs on the disk.
If I put my CD back into the computer though, it plays the music I burned just fine. So what may be wrong? And what can I do in order to rectify it?

Your CD Player is not MP3 compatible (unable to unzip large files) you need to download a program that can change MP3 files to standard CD

Question by : How do you change a insignia or any am fm radio from getting power from an electrical socket to just batteries?
I want to take my insignia am fm radio/ipod player on a trip and would like to play music out loud at the hotel. There are batteries in the device but when i unplug it, it doesn’t work on it’s own and was wondering if it is possible to have it work on just batteries. Help???

Usually just removing the power cord should shift your radio to the batteries for power. If it doesn’t, you may require fresh batteries or possibly need to clean the battery terminals of the player. Remember to use rubbing alcohol for cleaning and not water or other cleaners! I hope this helps.

Question by Angie C: What would be the amps for a cd clock radio that is 120V~60Hz?
I have a power supply that will only handle 5.0 amps, and I have a fan plugged in that is .95 amps. I am wondering if the radio will exceed the 5.0. Obviously, if it does… I cannot use the radio. Thank you for your help.
The power supply that I have is a 110v outlet, but the breaker/fuse is only set for 5.0 amps.

Answer by gilloz
When you say power supply, are you referring to an Inverter powered from a 12V battery? If that is the case, then a clock radio of the usual kind should be fine.
Added: The 5 amp fuse I believe is what the Inverter will draw from it’s input power source, but, then again, you still didn’t comment if you are working with an Inverter fed by 12VDC or some other input source.

Question by Mitarashi-san: If I purchase an HD Radio, will I be able to pick up digital television broadcasts on it?
Before television went digital you could hear regular(non cable) TV stations on a radio. My question is, now that Television has gone digital, if you purchase an HD radio can you still pick up the broadcasts of TV stations?

Question by Radioguy: What is the difference between WiFi Radio, Internet Radio, and HD Radio?
I am new to WiFi Radio (a few weeks) and I am amazed at how fantastic it is. And simple to program and operate. Now I am curious to know about Internet Radio and HD Radio as I often see them advertised. Can you compare the three?
Best answer:
Answer by yeesnaw
WiFi radio is a radio that runs from WiFi and dosn’t stream through your computer but still through the Internet, so, it is still a form of internet radio.
HD radio is just like HD TV its a very hi quality internet radio (there it is again)

Question by ?-Musikman-?: Second car battery or cap??
Ok… here’s the deal…. a few months ago I was driving when all of the sudden, my car’s electrical went bananas!
I have the following sound/video components in my car:
1- Alpine IVA-D310 receiver
2- Alpine CHA-S634 6-CD changer
3- Alpine MRP-F450 70wX4 amplifier
4- Bazooka BTA-10200 200 watt powered Subwoofer
5- Infinity Kappa 692.7i 6X9 front door speakers
6- Boston Acoustics SX60 6-1/2″ X 6-3/4″ rear door speakers
7- Clarion 7″ head rest monitors (2)
While driving, I had my AC on, my radio blasting, all 3 video monitors on and two 24″ neon light tubes under my seats… to make a long story short, my car shut off and wouldn’t turn back on. Even after a jump from another car, I had to shut everything off otherwise my car would stall. After that, I bought a new battery and don’t want have to go through that again. I was told to get a Capacitor for my system and maybe a second battery. Any suggestion?? I have a 2003 Mazda Protege 5.
Best answer:
Answer by How YOU Doin?
You need a new alternator that puts out more current. The battery is only used for all that stuff when the car is not running. When the car is on, the alternator powers the electrical systems.

Yes, you can use this sub woofer with your receiver. You need an rca jack and connect it from the subwoofer pre out of the receiver to the sub woofer input. Check your owners manual also for the proper location of the sub woofer pre out in the back of your receiver. Hope this will help you out.

Question by boo: What Amp and Sub should i get?
I have about 500 dollars to spend on a sub and amp. I have alpine r type speakers already. I have a jeep liberty, and i would like a that would fit under the seat since i use my trunk a lot, although the amp will be in the trunk. I was looking at the Pioneer 8inch shallow sub, and enclosure. And for the amp i was looking at the Gt-50 Boston Acoustics amp. Also i really don’t want to change my head unit, since it has a 6 disc cd changer in it.

S65 Boston Acoustics Rear Speakers

Answer by inktownlegend
the radio and rear speakers might be good but those other brands are trash (mediocre at best)
–first step is to get your amp and subs (buy from a reputable company/brand) and then see if you can still hear your vocals fine (inside stock speakers) if so you can wait for a new radio and inside speakers
listen before you buy and pick what sounds good to YOU
when it comes to car audio nine times out of ten you get what you pay for- and you need to look for CEA-compliant brands which means that the amps have been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle their advertised RMS wattage also (distortion is the main cause of speaker damage over time)
here are the top CEA-compliant brands
Alpine (highly recommend)
Bazooka (don’t like their subs)
Blaupunkt (don’t like their subs)
Clarion
Eclipse
Infinity (highly recommend)
JBL
JL Audio (very good but over priced)
JVC
Kenwood (don’t like their subs)
Kicker (the best in my opinion)
Lightning Audio (have not heard their subs)
MTX (highly recommend)
Orion
Pioneer
Polk Audio (highly recommend)
PPI
Rockford Fosgate (highly recommend)
Sony (don’t like their subs)

Question by alexmussafi: Subwoofers?
info: I’m soon to be driving an Infiniti I30. I am currently driving a 97 subaru wagon with two 12″ kickers in a ported box. I listen to a lot of rock and rap. Money isn’t the biggest issue.
I want a sub that when I hear double bass, I want to feel it kicking me in the back every hit. It doesnt have to be really loud, as it does strong. (if that makes sense)
I also want it to sound nice when I listen to rap. I dont need it to shake my panels anymore I got over that.
I was looking into boston acoustics – G5 / JL w6
in 10 or 12, sealed box.
any opinions?
Also, I know there is a lot of boston acoustic fans out there, if someone could explain to me how the GTR radiator actually works that’d be excellent. Do I mount it in the box, or does it need its own whole or what?!?!?!
Best answer:
Answer by basslovin
well the boston acoustic subs are going to give you amazing quality i love the sound of them. the jl w6 may be a little louder. both subs are going to be great for what your looking for. go with the 12″ sub. 12′s are better for a variety of music. just make sure you fully power them and have a sealed box built to specs and it’ll be punchy and great for what you need
